Golden Dorado.

South American golden dorado are magnificent iridescent golden fish that strike viciously, leap maniacally, burn off line and destroy tackle and lures. Most dorado run from five to ten pounds, sometimes as large as twenty pounds. In the fabled, highly-restricted "La Zona/Salto Grande” area on the Uruguay River, the dorado routinely go 30-40-50, even 60 pounds!

The dove shooting here matches the amazing fishing. Guests can expect to expend 40-60-80 and more boxes of shells each day in a variety of shooting platforms.

HOW TO GET THERE: Buenos Aires is best reached from Miami, Dallas, Atlanta or Houston on, respectively — Aerolineas Argentinas, American Airlines, Delta Airlines or Continental Airlines. Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, hunters are met and transferred by private vehicle three hours to Santa Rosa, arriving in plenty of time for an afternoon hunt. If fishing-only the drive is 5 ½ hours.
