High-Volume Mixed-Bag Bird Shooting

Pigeons in huntable quantities are only found in a few places in South America, but northern Entre Rios is home to literally millions of spot-winged and picazuro pigeons. Early in the season, pigeons concentrate on ripening fields of sorghum and sunflowers, providing fast and challenging shooting that can rival a good dove hunt. As grain is harvested, pigeons can be fooled by spreads of decoys and hunted from blinds, with much of the aesthetics of duck hunting.
Rounding out a fantastic mix of gamebirds and hunting options is gunning for Argentine perdiz (spotted tinamou) over stylish Brittanies and careful English pointers (season permitting). The norm for a pair of hunters is 25 to 40 flushes and the liberal limits make for a rewarding outing.
